Phonic Combo + is a composite tile with a refined white painted, monolithic, pre-finished face. It features an absorptive layer with an attenuating backer, delivering excellent acoustic properties that meet Ministry of Education requirements. Additionally, it provides superior seismic performance. With an NRC of 0.85 and a minimum CAC of 42 (easily increased to CAC 52), it is a highly effective solution for noise control.
The tile consists of two flexibly attached layers with an air gap in between, allowing them to flex and vibrate, creating a cavity for enhanced sound absorption. The absorbent face is made of compounded, high-density glass wool, while the attenuating backer reduces sound transfer between office partitions and minimizes rain noise from roofing. Despite its advanced design, the tile remains lightweight at just 7.5kg/m². A patent is pending for this revolutionary concept.
